*****Apple Fall Event 22nd Oct*****

All the details are best read on the Apple website.

Yes but it's full of lies.

apple lying said:
The new A7 chip in iPad Air was designed with 64-bit architecture. It delivers killer performance — up to two times faster CPU and graphics performance than its predecessor — without sacrificing battery life.

The ipad Air has never existed, so what are they considering to be 'its' predecessor, since it hasn't had one? The ipad 4? the ipad 2?

The iPad 4 is its predecessor. The iPad Air does everything 2x faster than the 4. The iPad mini with retina display is 4x CPU and 8x GPU faster than the old mini.

OK massive dilema, thinking about getting rid of my 13inch Macbook air that is a few months old and switchign to the retina 13inch thats just come out!

If it is better for your needs, then why not. If you won't get much of a boost from it, then it wouldn't be necessary.

Just noticed on the edu' store, the 32GB Retina mini is £400, the 32GB Air is £464.40 - really tempted. MUST RESIST. Current Mini is enough... ;)

Excellent thank you.
From what I can tell the internals are all the same now, the screen res the same etc. The only question you need to ask yourself is do I want a 7.9inch display or a 9.7inch display?

They have same OS, same camera, same processors, same memory allocation etc? Is anything else different about them?

Mac Pro is on the cards for me I think, base spec should do me fine. With a 27" display that's going to be costly at £2700 odd though!
