*****Apple Fall Event 22nd Oct*****

I like the look of the Ipad Air. Disappointed that there's no TouchID, as I really like that on my 5S, but I think I'll upgrade anyway, coming from a larger, heavier, slower iPad 3.

16gb version works for me. With the apps I use I normally have space for 3 movies on the device.

If it cant handle photo editing then it isn't worthy of the 'pro' title... The more RAM the better I'd imagine though :)

I know the memory is Important, going 16gb. But unsure if Photoshop prefers cores, speed or memory. Her current desktop is a 3930K so it's quick, just don't want too much moaning at me if I tell her to go i5.

Thanks.

i find it quite heavy to hold for hours at a time and the Air version is much lighter.

It is the same weight now as it was yesterday.

If it was too heavy when you bought it then you should have bought the mini surely? The fact that you bought the iPad meaning it was a decision that suited your needs, weight included.

Instantly loving the fullscreen on extra screens
It's the only reason I'm upgrading :p Means I can run VMware Fusion full screen on one monitor and keep Mac OS on the other.

Though the installation has been "Time remaining: Less than a minute" for about 5 minutes

Edi: phew, just done.

I'm not techy enough to answer your question but I'm able to use photoshop and lightroom on my 2009(ish) MBP (2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo) with 4GB RAM - albeit it is a little sluggish at times...

I fully agree with you Raymond, but you can buy something and still feel it could be lighter etc... And if the new model has this feature you can't blame someone for wanting it :p
