How long did it take to install Raymond (on your oldest machine)... not sure whether to do it tonight or wait until tomorrow

Posting from Mavericks.

First impressions are good — Safari seems snappier and iBooks is welcome.

Think I'll be ordering a iPad Mini Retina when they're available. :)

My 2010 MBP with SSD is done, overall, about 30 min install after download.

Just clicked install now on the 2009 iMac with HDD....will report back.

My Late 2012 iMac with SSD did it the fastest, about twice as fast i would say.

So 2 machines down, 1 in progress and so far, utterly frustration free OS upgrade.

Mavericks install completed! Still pleasantly surprised it was free - I was ready to splash £20 again tonight.

If you look at what you get (with regards to what they state on their website as key features), the only new software is iBooks and Maps. I think they did the right thing in making it free. That being said... before iOS7 when it was all hinted at being free, I thought iWork would be a paid for service

Surprised the Mini and Air have the same A7 chip. I got a feeling early next year there is going to be a bigger more powerful iPad coming out hence why they have called this the iPad Air otherwise no need to change the name.

I can't believe they are selling the iPad 2 at those prices, criminal stuff there. They know a lot of the older folks won't know the difference so probably just buy it if looking for a cheaper alternative, iOS 7 might be a bit slow on that!

So stupid as well they don't allow pre-orders, I need one by the weekend so I'll have to go to their store to buy it #FirstWorldProblems ;)

Thanks... Took the plunge and telling me 44 mins with 2009 MBP (HDD not SSD) which is okay

Will be surprised if we do to be honest. Think this is it until late next year.

With everything getting thinner and the lines between the air and rMBP getting smaller, a larger iPad "pro" might come about. But in the form of a back to front air almost (keyboard being a cover as opposed to the base).
