Just a quickie; last thursday I ordered a MBA through the Apple Store on finance (with intention to pay in full in 3 months time).

It is due to be shipped the day before the WWDC. However, in the unlikely event that the WWDC unveils a new/improved MBA, will I be able to return the order and cancel the finance, in order to order a new one? (or will this scupper my credit rating too)?

Everything logically seems to say 'Yes you can' and 'no it won't affect your rating', but I have a nagging doubt it may change my ability to get finance through Barclays (Apple's financier) in the future?

Considering the last updates were done not too long ago I think it's highly unlikely you will see a new MBA.

Despite this not being the answer you were looking for...this is kind of the answer you're looking for. Intel are stating that Broadwell will be out by the end of the year. You're simply not going to see a new MBA tomorrow.

I appreciate this, however a few of the educated rumour sites are suggesting enhancements to the MBAs (i'm as confused as you guys though as I know the update was virtually just a month ago!).

You can return it yes, I did exactly that with a financed Macbook Pro.

It didn't seem to affect my ability to get a Mini Retina on finance 6 months later, I doubt it would have any affect on the likelihood of Barclays to give you finance in the future. It's your right to return the item in the correct timeframes at the end of the day.

The only impact it will have will be two lots of finance application/credit searches in a short space of time.

The rumours are on a different more expensive super slim fanless MBA. Unless you are willing to fork out a few £100 more, i'd stick with what you have.

This. The 13" model will not get updated anytime soon.
