Apple iPod Touch

very good for all you have mentioned. Posting this reply on my touch :) browser is better than I thought it would be, as in it displays every website I've been too correctly and quickly.

Email is very good. Set mine to check every 15mins for new mail and it works fine. Easy to setup too. (I'm using gmail)

Can it do that email thing with Hotmail?

Sadly you can't use Hotmail on the Touch/iPhone. Both devices are brilliant for browsing and email use. The email app isn't the best though and can be a bit unreliable at times but most of the time it works quite well.

Have to agree, the iPhone and the iPod Touch are the two best handheld devices to browse with on the internets.

Sod knows. MS owned Email service on an Apple device? No idea. Not tried to access hotmail via the web or safari because it sounds too finicky and daft.

Out of the box, the Touch/iPhone supports:
MS Exchange
MobileMe
GoogolMail
YahooMail
Aol (erk!)
and custom POP accounts.

No idea about the Wifi range, but the reliability is pretty solid once you have a good signal.

My biggest issue with browsing on the touch (posting from mine now :p) is that I have to manually log into ocuk each time. It's very quick though with similar range to my laptop and I have synced my uni emails and my gmail acounts flawlessly.

My touch stays logged in to OcUK all the time.

I think it's great for browsing and email, You can get into hotmail on the mobile.msn site but it's not pretty.

The one thing I hate about it is it's inability to keep the correct date/time - almost every time I charge it, the time and date are both wrong when I remove it. Might be to do with iTunes, maybe vista... who knows?
