Apple Keyboard with Windows 7

Hi Guys

I have an Apple keyboard and I use it with Windows 7. I use a Bluetooth Receiver in order to connect the two together. When I had my old machine they both worked in harmony but tonight I plugged in the receiver to my new machine and for some reason the keyboard only works for a minute or two upon first connection and then there is no input.

I have tried updating the drivers and changing the batteries in the keyboard itself, the device manager also says that the keyboard is connected.

Any ideas?

I've managed to narrow it down to the keyboard continuously turning off. I have tried all basic things like batteries, making sure the cap is on tight etc but still nothing.

I've always had problems with BT keyboards and windows, the system was forever missing the 1st keystroke. In the end I solved that by turning off the power saving for the BT receiver.
