Apple Keyboard with Windows

If i bought an official apple wired keyboard and wired mouse can i use them with both my macbook and also my Windows PC desktop?

I have tried researching about using a apple wired keyboard but i am unsure because i dont know if the CMD key will work with the PC versions of Photoshop, Illustrator etc.

I am a Graphic design student and i have a tight budget, but most people i have seen have macbook pros that do not have retina display.
Is the display really worth it?

Definitely spend the extra on the retina. The screen is worth it alone but you're also getting the slightly faster CPU, double the ram, longer battery life and better graphics as well as an SSD.

I went from a regular MacBook Pro to a Retina MacBook Pro. I thought the display on the original MBP was the best display when I first saw it, then when I saw the Retina, it made the old display look terrible by comparison!

Retina is definitely the way to go, especially if you are working with design programs. The extra spec will give you a few more years of usage too.

In a similar situation but I wan't my apple keyboard to behave exactly like a normal windows one, is this possible?

Plugging into Windows I lose all use of the function keys and the esc button. Anybody here kind enough to point me in the right direction of how to sort this out?
