Apple Mac Stores?

Hello.

Simply, I want a MacBook, never used one. Would really like to have a play with one. Is there a Store Finder? I believe I saw one in London but too far for me to travel.

The nearest one to me is Birmingham.......like 60/70 miles away !

Going to goto my local Apple this weekend for a play. Is there anything I should know before I go in?

Wow, did not realise the MacBook Pro started at £1300, I'll be after the basic £700 Macbook

If you are a student you can get about 14% off... if not, well I have heard that it is possible to get the discount by simply saying you are a student over the phone.

oh and the basic macbook is fine unless you want to do editing or play newer games.

Is this on the Website, I remember seeing it for Ipods months back but not for Macbooks.

Yep. Got the NUS card and everything!

Will only be used for Internet, Word, Photos and Music. Might have the odd game of Zoo Tycoon / Rollercoaster Tycoon / Sims 1 but thats all

(will they be okay?)

Are you at uni? because technically you need to be to qualify for the 14% HE discount, so if you're at 6th form or college you may have to blag it. I think there is a discount but it might not be as much.

Haven't tried but I imagine those games will run fine.

Local Purple shirt place? They all have a small Apple section.

Went into my local store last week to buy GT5P for the PS3 and had a quick peek at the Apple section (which was in the middle of a move round). One new iMac with Leopard, everything else had Tiger on it. :O
