Okies, so I ordered an 13" MB 'Pro' refurb jobbie from Apple @ £730 today.

Never used a mac before but have always wanted to try OSX because Windows is just becoming too bloated etc. You know the story. At least I can ditch bloated Windows iTunes now.

Are there any decent resources sites, or techy sites for a Windows user? Not sure where to begin looking.

Did you get a refurb too Mr.Lin? Mines arriving between the 4th and 6th this week and I am a bit nervous about the quality of the unit, especially after reading the macrumours forum.

Well mine arrived today. Pics

No build issues and the whole thing looks lovely. My only gripe is wtf is the # hash key?! lol
I've been mostly getting to grips with everything, especially the trackpad as itis the size of a bungalow - something I am not used to given that my two jealous Samsung NC10's have very small trackpads.

Here is the best bit. I paid £730 for a 2GB, 160GB HD unit, but I got a 4GB unit with a 250 Tosh hard drive. I was quite pleased.

I am not sure just yet how to connect to my Windows 7 network though, so I can access my drives on that.

Seems like it yep. From what I can see, the two bits of hardware I mentioned above are the only difference.

Looking at the pics (ports & locations, and the screen), you've got a Unibody Macbook, not a Macbook Pro.

Still for £730 I wouldn't say no! :)
Yeah, from the design its a late 2008 Macbook but all my info is screwy. System Profile states a manufacture date of June 2009, although its a refurb so I don't know how that affects the date. Secondly this thing has a backlit keyboard but the F5/F6 keys are plain ones. I had to use the Labtick app to force it to switch on at first though. Thirdly my receipt states macbook pro lol :/

I've got some b****** hybrid!

Noooo, then they'll steals my 'extra' bonuses that I got with the machine! Besides I'm totally loving the machine. I'd buy an iMac asap if my specced version of the site wasn't 2.5k :o:eek:
