Just thought I'd comment on my experience with Apple Refurb products.
It's brilliant.
I bought a MacBook Pro 17" as replacement for 2009 model. It's about £1939 brand new. I checked on the Apple Refurb and found the same model for £1530. That's £400 saving. I bought it as a gamble and it's absolutely brilliant. I didn't know what to expect, i.e scratches, dirt, stinky etc
It's brand new, there is no blemishes, no scratches, no dust, no dirt that you would expect from something not brand new. It's got all the discs, cloths, stickers, manuals, brand new power brick. iLife 11 disc. Next day delivery also.
I can't recommend it enough. For £400 saving which you can use to get Apple Care and still have £200 or so left in your pocket - it's a no brainer.
The ONLY thing you don't get is the official Apple MBP box. But who wants a box?
Anyway, I will post pics if anyone is interested. I was tempted to wait for the Sandy Bridge Update but I believe it's just been delayed which makes my purchase even more sweet
Upgraded HDD to SSD and it runs like a beast! Amazing. Boot up in 4 seconds, shut down in 2.
Sorry if this was boring but if you want the 17" but can only afford the 15", USE APPLE REFURB!!!
