Ive been trying to get my head around this for some time and Im still none the wiser.
I have apple music subscription, now I used to sync music from my laptop iTunes library via usb to my iPod.
Since I signed up to AM it enabled iCloud library on my iPod thus screwing a few of my ripped cd album artwork covers up!!. Ok no big deal as I had a backup of my music on my laptop which I thankfully had not turned iCloud library on.
Since then I have turned iCloud library off on my iPod.
Preferably I would like to use iCloud library when they fix things like the above but I really need to understand this DRM apple music protection.
If I have the feature on will my own purchased iTunes music and cd rips be replaced with DRM protection on my iPod?
I really don't want this to be the case as I stream some of the music stored on my iPod to my Sonos and if its protected it will not stream.
Has anyone managed to get the head around it
