Apple Music - Artist discovery?

I've been a Spotify user for about ten years now. Still, since I recently got a bunch of Apple devices (one of them included six months of Apple Music for free), I decided to cancel Spotify and switch over to Apple Music permanently.

The problem I have is finding new music on Apple Music. In Spotify, it was easy. They had daily playlists based on your music taste, and they also had playlists that they thought were close so you could check out something that you might enjoy.

The only thing I can find on Apple Music is the radio stations for listing music you might like based on a song or an album. Is there anything obvious I am missing here? It seems strange that Spotify is so far ahead of Apple Music for music discovery.

The way I use Apple Music is I choose an Artist or Album that I like and when it's finished it plays similar artists afterwards, this has always been automatic for me. I'm not someone who uses playlists very much, and if I like the song it plays I add it to my library. Not sure if this is what you're looking for.

I should say, I use this exclusively via my Homepod, and download music to my library for listening on my iPhone when I'm out and about.

Yeah, I use that feature as well. It was also available on Spotify. I mean it helps but I'd like something like an automatic playlist along the lines of "Music for Today" or similar. I also use the Stations feature but that is also not as good as Spotify's radio feature.
