Apple music or crap music

Doesn't apple music like mp3 files? seems like it's only interested in music videos

roflmao oh can you? my itunes won't even let me convert files to mp3 despite following instructions on import, the option is still greyed out. as for apple music it does not display mp3 files it only likes music files

Literally import in the Music app and point it at a folder. There are different import options available in the apps preferences. I don’t know how it could be any simpler.

I use a separate music player for my own files, always thought this was the cleaner option.

It does sometimes, the mp3s have managed to show on apple music now but it never used to. Itunes used to be able to convert mp3 from mp4s but not any more, it does different things as and when it wants to

CS music player is pretty good (only $4 one-off and no forced subscriptions). There are other good ones too like Neutron (kind of PowerAMP for iOS) or Marvin (great UI and customisable), or foobar2000 (free and open source but basic UI).
