Apple "P" works but printer icon doesn't?

Guys

When I hit Apple and 'P' the print works perfectly to the network Panasonic but if I hit the printer icon I get and error "word cannot communicate with the printer"

Same in word, Entourage, excel!?

Just installing SP1 already updated the gimp printer driver..?

Any other ideas?

Printer was set to print to last used, as this printer is on another network it failed!!

So thats fixed...

Now the print keeps going oh "HOLD" waiting for authentication .....?
