Apple passwords app WiFi passwords

Hi

I’m just setting up Apple passwords app on my dads iphone for the first time and in the saved wifi passwords he has a few that say WiFi extra, they also say managed.

I tried to forget them as I have no clue what they are, they are not anything to do with the home network.

But it say I can’t delete managed networks.

Anyone have any idea what these WiFi passwords are and how to remove them?

They sound like networks installed using an MDM profile. Could be wrong though.

No idea, odd though, I notice on my iPhone password app I have saved wifi details from past connections used.

I have them on my phone too... it's just wifi connections for your mobile phone network provider and they only tend to appear when you're in a zone.

Ah thanks, that explains it, he is indeed on o2.

Think in his settings these hotspots are set to “ask to join” so doubt he has ever accepted to join one of these WiFi connections.
