Apple pencil alternative

Anyone recommend a cheap Apple pencil alternative?

Lots on the rainforest.....but, anyone here use a decent alternative. Ta

The Logitech one is pretty good but the apple one is the best. The cheap ones on amazon are just garbage I tried a few a didn’t like them thought all pencils would be that way until I tried a mates apple pencil and was blown away by how much better it was.

It’s one of those where you just have to bite the bullet and get it if you want one.

I’m afraid the pencil is just another one of those things that Apple absolutely nailed and the third party options aren’t in the same league - unfortunately that comes at a premium.
If you think you would get good use out of it, as @Reuben klang says, it’s best to just bite the bullet.
If, on the other hand, you literally just want a stylus for prodding the screen while browsing then I guess you could try one of the third party options but they’re difficult to recommend.

It's worth remembering that the Apple Pencil tips do wear out but they're cheap and easy to replace. I picked up my wife's iPad a few weeks ago and noticed that the pencil wasn't as responsive as I expected it. I mentioned this and she said that if that happens, just to twist it round a bit. When I looked at the tip, I could see one side was worn down and that was the cause. I ordered a pack of four directly from Apple and they turned up the next day. She'd had it for about a year.

You asked if there are any decent alternatives. If all you want is a stylus then any stylus will do but if you want something that actually works like an Apple Pencil then no, there are no decent alternatives.

No way i can spend £90 on an Apple pencil
So don't. But don't expect anything else to work as well.

This nails it perfectly.

I dont expect to get one that has all the bells and whistles of the Apple pencil.

I want one that is rated as a 'good alternative'.

Just to throw this in the mix (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but if Sidecar is important to you it will only work with the Apple Pencil.
May be a moot point but just something else to consider.

No way i can spend £90 on an Apple pencil. Some alternative pencils seem to get really good reviews. I know that you cant always trust reviews though.
Agree

i wouldn't pay £90 for the older 1st gen Apple pencil with the crazy way you need to charge them
This ebay seller sells secondhand ones for £55 Apple Pencil for iPad Pro MK0C2ZM/A A1603 - 1st Generation - FAST SHIPPING 888462313711 | eBay
or brandnew for £70 [NEW] Apple Pencil for iPad Pro MK0C2ZM/A A1603 | eBay

The 2nd gen is far better, but then you need an ipad that supports a second gen pencil

Don't even bother using a third party one. They are garbage, as mentioned pick up a second hand one off ebay / Cex or similar.

From my understanding of the requirements, there is nothing whatsoever that is suitable. He won’t buy Apple, he will only buy new and he wants an alternative. That doesn’t exist, there is no real suitable alternative/equivalent.
