Hi.

Looking at screen time which we have enabled on our daughters iPhone.

Unfortunately Chrome is not included in the control measure. Hence her using that more after set time limit.

Is there any way of parental controls for chrome on ios. Or are we better of removing Chrome and carry on with Safari

Thanks

I didn't realise this. Feek was right (duh :p), always share the answer. OcUK ranks very highly on search engines, even non-biased ones that don't tailor results to your own browsing history. There's nothing more frustrating than searching an obscure problem, finally finding a post about that exact thing, and then the OP replying 'never mind, solved it'..... Yes, but HOW?!!!1!!ONE!! :D

Screen time is pretty poor and very flawed in my experience so far. I set my son up from my ipad and did a good job controlling his screen time and limiting apps individually to a set time per day. I've blocked any whatsapp etc after 19:30.

Now here's the flaw, they can request one more minute. That doesn't notify you, fair enough not a problem it's just one minute but they can keep on doing that forever!! My friends daughter has twigged it, my son hasn't yet but he will. I googled it and there's no fix, this has been an issue since 2019!

After setting my sons up I offered to help a friend. She has a worse problem, her daughter can keep turning Screen time off on her own phone and getting around it. Something my son cannot do. I couldn't figure out why!
