Apple Security Check?

Ordered an iPhone 4S last night directly from Apple and just had a call from a number that begins +353 (Ireland?) asking a few security questions to confirm my purchase.

Is this legitimate? Does this normally happen?

They asked me to confirm: Address, the bank of my credit card and which exactly product I purchased.

Thanks guys. I did order it last night and at the end of the call, she said you'll get a confirmation email for the order in the next few hours... Low and behold
