What are you trying to transfer? The easiest thing would be to use a cloud service like OneDrive.

Haven't actually tried it yet myself, but would look at LocalSend if you don't want to rely on a cloud service.

Few Gigs of media. Don't really want to use the cloud it's usually a lot slower.

Android File Transfer - I believe it's the official Android app; it's a little basic but it works for transferring over USB.

I use Solid Explorer and set up an FTP server. Then use FileZilla to access it. It's a wee bit technical but works well.

Are you accessing your FTP server outside of your local network? Because if you are you really should use SFTP instead.
