Yes. They occasionally ask you what University you go to but nothing beyond that so far.

Although I'm in Uni currently.

if you know someone who goes to uni then you can register it in there name - and your sorted - my little brother goes to uni so i bought him a 2k mac pro - and spent £550 on final cut studio 2

a very generous gift i thought

I finished my degree recently, but I can still goto Uni and use all the facilities until the summer.

Not sure it matters in price but it would be in the addition to a Mac Pro. (assume it's the exact same)

Yeah I know, but I am thinking of an iMac/Mac Pro in the future. I'll take any discount I can get to be honest! What boggles me is Apple not checking whether their customers are legit Higher Education students though.

Lol, since there has been requests made already I was wondering if anyone could list the price for the Macbook Pro 17" model with the high res screen?

They certainly are. Even still I don't expect to see anything amazing. They should come with all the HDMI stuff that the 2408's and 3008's do but I doubt it'll happen.

A panel update would be nice, AFAIK they're still using the 2003 panels.

I'd be happy for them to keep the design the same tbh
