Apple Store for Higher Education

:confused: HE stands for Higher Education, i.e you get an apple discount if your in some form of higher education. you don't buy HE its not a membership thingy.

Chances are if your in school or Uni they you can get the items on using the HE discounted price or you could do what most peopleon here do and blag the phone conversation when ordering and hope they don't follow up with a check.

Yes i know, i meant , how much discount do you get?

What do they ask you mate?

Often not a lot, just say your at such and such uni mention location address, course your on etc, and say your been told you qualify for a HE discount. tell them what you want to buy and the HE price and 9/10 thats it, but some people have been know to get someone who will do a check on your details to confirm your at the uni but not very often as all their interested in is making a sale.

I phoned earlier today to put my order through. The guy I spoke to asked for the name of the uni and it's location and that was it. I then went through what I wanted and after I had gave him my card details he mentioned sending a copy of my student ID card to him. I said yeah, but I think they have to ask that to cover themselves. I've since had an email confirming my order as well as est ship and delivery dates, so I'm guess its gone through:D

Could someone post the current price of the 3 mac books with HE? I`m visiting the states soon and need to know whether to grab one while im there or to just use HE here.

Just wondering, would I be able to call them and buy a "Mac Pro for my son who is at Uni" with discount?

Dont most unis allow alumni to use libraries and stuff? If people really need to use the discount, you can go to the LSE library in london (also the British Library of Political and Economic Science) enter as a visitor and youll have a uni IP address :).

I'd imagine the same thing is possible with everyone's local university library.
