Yup, avoid them like the plague on a Sunday, honestly, I went into the bullring store just now, filled out my details on the concierge thingy. Yup, you guessed it, no spots available.

So, we went off, had a bit of munch, came back, still the same deal, we went off again and came back about 30 mins later to an even more cram packed store, again, no Genius bar appointments free.

Looks like I'll be going back during the week, if I can. :o

Also, 70°C with firefox, and firefox alone, (more or less...) for a MBP, too hot? I sure think so..
 
A Firefox bug? Have you got 2.0.0.7 ?

Seems a bit weird.. could get them to look at the thermal paste application, but it's probably a process milking the cycles (Firefox).

thats not right!

Laptops CPUs are designed to run hotter than the desktop counterparts...

They should do 70C no problems at-least TBH.

My desktop does that at stock no probs when I tested it way back!


E6600 = 2.4ghz = 60C
T7400 = 2.4ghz = 100C.

(T7400 might be wrong but whatever the 2.4ghz mobile part is).

So meh, dunno whats going on there. But I dont like hearing about dodgy MBPs when Im just about to spend £1600 on one!
