Apple either screwed up with it (telling me they had it) or they lied, hence my second call to them.

Barcleys would have received the finance a day after I sent it to them, so in either case someones lying.
And the 'custom' config delay?
That is stupid.


Well the reason I don't want to wait, as I explained above is I needed it for traveling, maybe you're right thought, since I won't get it anyway.

Only thing is I don't know for sure when the sandybridge refresh will happen, or if they'll even put one on the 13" model, and doesn't sandybridge exclude them from putting in a descrite graphics card?

Rather have a core 2 duo and a semi decent gfx chip than a better (admittedly far better) cpu and intel graphics.

Apple confirmed payment from Barclays, but they were waiting on the finance documents (which they asked you to resend). 2 entirely different things. I'm betting the documents were sent hard copy and got lost in the Royal Mail snow saga + Christmas madness whereas the payment was processed electronically.

If you are still annoyed, cancel the finance and buy a Dell on the highstreet.

Nope, apple confirmed to me that barclays had received the paperwork when I called on tuesday, so their whole process is screwed up somehow.
