Apple TV and gaming?

ive been looking at buying a apple tv 3,
apart from the usual things it can do does any one use theres when gaming using airplay?

I tired it but there was about 0.5s lag between inputs and display. Made it unusable for action games.

there seems to be as list of airplay enabled games but not that many.

I tried RR2 which was designed so you can use the TV as your screen and have the map etc. on the ipad.

I found it to be a bt laggy and I just went back to viewing it on the iPad.
