Apple TV quality question

Hi,

Just bought a new Apple TV last week and I've found that when I stream music from spotify on my laptop to the TV, the sound quality is quite a bit poorer (lots of stuttering and occasionally drops out all together. Films are not much better.

I'm using a BT home hub 3 router, would upgrading my router to one with a faster data transfer rate help solve the problem?

Sadly power line networking is not an option, really needs to be wireless. I've seen that the HomeHub 3 's data transfer rate is 300mbps whereas some much better routers have rates in excess of 600mbps. Could that be what's limiting the performance?

Why don't you test it using wired connections for both to check it is te wireless, then try alternating which one is on wireless to see if one has a particularly poor wireless signal.
It is unlikely to be an Apple specific issue so you may be better asksing the question in the neworking forum as there could be a number of causes.

Home hub say no more, bin that and I'm sure it will work fine
