Apple TV - refresh?

I am thinking of getting the 160gb version but would ideally like to have a bigger drive installed, anyone have any ideas when Apple TV might see an update to bigger hard drives etc?

There is a hack out there that allows you to use the USB port (for use with external drives)

As for updates, Macworld San Fransisco in January is the next most-likely time for updates.
