Just the major tv and vid streaming ones like Netflix. Not the games and other apps you get on the ithingies

I rarely use the Apple TV apps themselves but haven't seen it, I'm usually in XBMC (jailbroken ATV2)

Can you 'Airplay' any iPad/iPhone App to the AppleTV or does it only work with pictures/movies/games etc?

Can it be used to 'mirror' for example?

Yes, you can use Airplay and Airplay mirror on the Apple TV.

BBC iPlayer & the YouTube app both have proper Airplay support.

sorry to hijack but can you link device to appletv direct and just use airplay to mirror the device thus its not on the internet? i understand the apps would not but just want to mirror the device
