right howdy ho guys!

ive heard if apple find anything remotely not legal on your mac they void warranty is this true if so what about all the ipods with torrent downloads on etc. and say i had software which was illegal, and there was a problem with my mac book pro, but i did a complete reformat before entering store would that be cool,

im not saying i have cracked software, maybe i have maybe i havent i dont have to discuss if i do or dont, im just wondering what the situation is on this.

Thanks.

Nah can't see that voiding your warranty, but just delete it first to be on the safe side. I doubt they will be searching through your HDD for illegal software when all they're supposed to be doing is fixing it for you.

It's like all your precious photos that one may have on ones HDD that you don't want people to see, I doubt they will go through them all and have a look. I certainly wouldn't if I was a Apple technician.

Edit: OK, maybe if it was a folder called lesbian porn or something I might peek...:o

yeh cheers for that guys, just wondering because someone said it would void all my applecare etc, and i needed other opinions etc, thanks! still not saying i have dodgy software ;)
