hey guys,

recently when I go to bed I can hear my watch making the charging tone every 30 seconds to a minute, very very annoying..

Its on a charger in nightstand mode, and the connection to the charger is solid, so I don't know why the tone keeps on and on and on!

I think its a generic charger, not official, I wonder if that could be the issue?
Whenever I’ve had an issue with charging my phone or watch, it’s either the power brick, the cable or the charger itself. Try the official Apple Watch charger and if this works, narrow it down from there.

Ordered a Apple MagSafe duo which Is convenient so I can charge both my iPhone and watch at the same time, and going to collet a USB C official Apple wall charger tomorrow, so everything will be official and see how I get on with them.

I’ve got the same on my series 6 at the moment (unofficial charger). I’ve had it before on the previous version of watch os, but eventually stopped after a software update. I think it’s some sort of compatibility thing with unofficial charger, if I remember I didn’t have the same problem with the genuine charger (same power adapter) but I haven’t tried recently.

good to know, I mean its not causing me any problems, just when you shut the phone off to sleep, and a constant dinging, dinging, dinging, it does get tiresome! no pun intended!:D

collected the apple wall charger, for the MagSafe duo when arrives. it has had a price sticker on it, what is the best way to remove residue without damaging etc. the Apple charger finish?
