Apple Watch / iPhone Alerts

I've just got an apple watch and for some reason when I get a text, my watch vibrates and makes a noise but nothing happens on my phone. Not vibrate, no sound, screen doesn't light up.

Have I done something wrong or is there a setting I am missing??

Sounds normal, that's how mine works anyway. Notifications are pushed to the watch unless I'm using the phone and it is unlocked at the time.

There's probably a setting to get both to notify you but I've never had the need. Check notifications in the Watch App on your phone?

Think that's the point of the Apple Watch.

Ach that's rubbish, i'd at least like the option to have it on or off.

Any accessories or apps anyone can recommend??
