Apple wireless mouse

Have been thinking about getting this as I get annoyed with the touchpad pretty easily.

Am after a wireless mouse, the apple one seems good as it uses bluetooth and therefore doesn't require any connections etc to look messy and is good for portability.

Is there any others I should consider, and do any of you have experience with the apple mouse?
 
I'm not a fan of the Apple one other than it's bluetooth.

I've got a logitech mouse, don't know the model number but it uses a charger and not battery's, so I don't have to worry about changing them all the time.
 
Logitech do a decent-looking Bluetooth mouse, it's blue (oddly enough), should be on their UK website for £35 or so. Blatantly going to be better than the Mighty Mouse.
 
I personally use the Apple Wireless - superficially, it looks brilliant, matches my MacBook well. It uses 2xAA battery, which generally last me 2to4 weeks depending on make and amount of usage - it is possible to use just 1xAA to run it (they're wired parallelly)

Anyway, can't really grumble about it (used it over a year 1 now)

Just note: You wouldn't use that mouse to play games like Jedi Acedemy and the likes, because you can only click either primary or secondary and not simultaneously. Many have posted issues with the scroll mouse ball (360 movement) but mine hasn't had that issue - apparently Apple made a silent update to the way it is made.

If you can pick it up cheap, do it - otherwise, seek alternatives if you're not looking to "match" your kit.
 
If youve never used a "Mighty Mouse" then I would seriously not recommend buying one. I, personally, think theyre absolutely rubbish. I'd just get a regular pc bluetooth mouse.

2-4 weeks? My Microsoft mouse lasts 6 months with 2xAA used everyday. Its not bluetooth though - is bluetooth really that much of a power hog?

Not sure if it power hogs but I'm always using the mouse and it's turned on 24/7 - never bothered turning bluetooth off on the laptop/mouse. Perhaps that's why it lasts like that - Energisers last 2 months but they're more expensive than my usual £1 for 4 batteries :P
 
I, erm.. Used a mighty mouse about an hour ago, horrid!

Disclaimer: I was standing up, in a hurry, trying to spell things right on the new keyboard, whilst preventing nosey people near-by from pinching my e-mail address...
 
My MS Intelllimouse Bluetooth used to run for months on a pair of Procells. Shame I dropped it one too many times though.
