We recently integrated an X-Serve into our Active Directory, serving about 80 Mac Minis and Macbooks.
One problem that has arisen is that every user that logs on to one of the Macs gets a 'Library' folder created in their Windows work area. This library folder is about 100MB large.
This causes two key issues:
1) If the user does not have this 100MB spare on their user account then they run into various problems in the Mac environment.
2) With over 200 users likely to be using the Macs, this results in an extra 20GB of storage and backup.
It seems strange to me, especially with a nice new X-Serve, that the Library folder is being copied to each user's folder on the Windows server.
Is this the only way for Apple integration into Active Directory to work, or has it been set up incorrectly?
Ta for any help / pointers.
