I bought a MBP through Edu store and "upgraded" the applecare for £58.

the MBP arrived last night, but the applecare was a manual/cd in a jiffy bag.

In the past when I bought "full version" applecare, I had to register a serial number, so what happens here?

Anyone have any experience of the Edu Applecare?

When I go to http://support.apple.com and put in the serial, it says "...is covered by a special agreement" but doesn't give any coverage dates etc.

Yeah, you just get a jiffy bag.

Keep the back because it has the numbers on the back!!

The cover is tied to the MBP so don't worry about dates, you'll be emailed with the start and end dates in due course :)

thanks guys.

It's just in the past, I've purchased the "full" applecare and needed to enter an applecare serial number that came in the box.

there is no serial number in/on the jiffy bag.

I assume that because I bought the MBP with applecare it is already tied to it?

(I didn't buy it for my benefit... I bought it for resale value in later life as it is always easier to sell "MacbookPro with **months applecare remaining" ;) )

Yep, Apple pair the Applecare with your MBP.

It's on a sticker at the back.. not a big one, but theres a number on it :)
