Depends. If your daughter might break it my mistake would rather pay for a brand new phone or just pay £8pm in insurance? It also covers theft which might be an issue at school.I had to buy my daughter a new 15 and wondered about applecare+ @$£8 a month i dont think its worth it for a basic iphone, any suggestions to back me up, i could understand it for a pro max but cant justify this model
Oops my bad she's 35 i just meant i bought her one as a presentDepends. If your daughter might break it my mistake would rather pay for a brand new phone or just pay £8pm in insurance? It also covers theft which might be an issue at school.
Ah, lolOops my bad she's 35 i just meant i bought her one as a present
Did you get it replaced at the same appointment by chance? This is a bit of a god send, my daughters 12 pro max dropped to 76% battery, and they replaced it no questions asked. Also she screwed up the screen and they replaced that too. Makes a 4 year old phone have more life. She's given the 12 Pro Max to her nan now and she has my wife's 13 pro max![]()
Sure, but if you spill a drink on your £2k MacBook Pro, it won't be repaired under UK law. This is where AC+ excels. This exact same situation happened to me, and it cost me peanuts in comparison to have the whole innards replaced.I only get AppleCare+ on my phone and that is because it could be lost or stolen easily. Companies must repair faulty goods under UK law so you don't need to pay for it.
True. But don't other forms of insurance also cover this? I seem to recall contents insurance does on some plans if you have accidental damage cover.Sure, but if you spill a drink on your £2k MacBook Pro, it won't be repaired under UK law. Contents insurance does but AC+ allows you to walk into Apple Store (or an authorised reseller) and have it repaired minus excess fee. The last time I claimed for a damaged iPad on contents insurance I had to have 3 or 4 phone calls explaining what happened, then had to wait for it to be authorised, then paid a significantly higher excess, and I got a cheque in the end. Next year, my policy went up 20%.True. But don't other forms of insurance also cover this? I seem to recall contents insurance does on some plans if you have accidental damage cover.
