Hi

Wondering how tight Apple are on VPNs... For example, if I was working out of UK, can I VPN to a UK IP and watch my UK content? If I am physically in US but with a UK sub, would I see my UK content or some US content? And do Apple actively target and block VPN services or do they not care?

Not seeking to watch content I am not entitled to... just wanna know how it works for the (increasing number of) times I am working away from home and want to watch my shows

Thank you for the kind offer but sorry, I don't know.. I don't have ATV+ yet, was wanting to know answer before spending money

I'm interested in this as well. My current VPN provider doesn't have an Apple TV app so I'm thinking of changing to Nord or Proton.

I have Apple TV4k here in UK, I subscribe to Safeshell VPN and also have both Apple UK&US IDs.

Apple TV4K has a few VPN apps on the Apple Store now.

To answer your question are Apple tight on VPNs, no they are not. Im not 100% sure but I don't think you would require a US ID for what you want to do, just the VPN.

You can use Tailscale and set your ATV as an exit node. You'll still be at home then when watching iPlayer. I guess it'll work with Sky Go but never tried it.

Apple have got F1 coverage next year. If they take the Sky commentary and I can watch it using a VPN, I'll be dumping my Sky F1 sub.
Oh my sweet summer child, you just know that Apple will have their own commentary team who know the cube root of chuffall about F1.

It's already been stated that they're going to be taking external commentary, but undecided on what yet.
