Has anyone bought from here?

We're speccing up our kitchen appliances and some of their prices seem too good to be true so I'm wondering what the catch is.

I bought an extractor fan from there and a tumble dryer. Extractor fan was £200+ cheaper than other suppliers and both items were as specified.

Only issue was some minor damage on the extractor fan I complained about and they said it was my issue as I hadn't reported it with 5 days.

So I'd recommend for heavy/durable white goods but maybe not fragile items (admittedly the extractor was poorly packaged by the supplier). Their customer service based on this does not seem great, but I think most is done through the supplier anyways...

Edit
Woops realise my order was from appliances direct rather than the company in question! Will edit post

Never used them but i am looking for appliances soon so checked the site for a bosch oven and its not the cheapest, so always do a price search by model number to make sure, for the oven i looked at builder depot is £200 cheaper

Id go for it with a hob, just check it ASAP when delivered if the saving is high (and manufacturer guarantee 'd

Unsurprisingly a few variations on Appliance World.

I've used these guys - https://www.appliance-world.co.uk based in Swindon - for several white goods purchases (Old house we bought a Neff Induction Hob, Extractor Hood, Fridge Freezer, Oven and Micro Combi Oven, Franke Tap and a Sink... New House upright matching pair Miele Fridge and Freezer).

Rob is brilliant and has always gotten me a price I couldnt get close to else where. But I have spent ~£5k there.

I believe they deliver nationwide.

Call ao.com with a list of your appliances and the cheapest you have found them elsewhere. Tell them you would be open to buying all of your appliances from them if they would be open to discussing a discount. I placed an order for £4.5k worth of appliances and paid less than £3.5k.

Their delivery team were superb as well, delivering a very heavy range cooker to the exact spot the kitchen fitter wanted it.

@Conanius yes that was the one we'd looked at, and will probably spend £5-6K in the end.

I'll do as you suggest @Adam and give both a ring with a list of wants. See who wants our business the most!
