Lol, the h50 comes with a really good paste as stock. Some Chinese stuff Shiang Xu??? Pretty much only ic diamond and the liquid metal ones out perform it

That's a bit of a stretch don't you think ?

In any case, the paste would have degraded after years of use anyway, absolute worst case scenario he loses nothing. Though I still think a newly and correctly applied quality TIM -will- improve temps.
