Application to monitor and report on pings?

Hi all,

I would like to have an application installed on a server that constantly pings bbc.co.uk and a given IP across a site to site VPN and makes a note of or alerts about any dropped packets.

Any suggestions? (preferably free)

assuming you're running windows I'm pretty sure paessler prtg would do what you want with the right configurations...

even has an android app (not sure about ios) to monitor stuff

I have used PRTG and it is working, but it's notifying for EVERY ping that is lost, I want to change this to about 3 pings but I'm not too sure on the settings on this. Is anyone familiar with this product?

When you click on a device you have a few tabs along the top/middle bar which are "Settings" and "Notifications" Under Notifications you can setup triggers such as:

When sensor is Down for at least 600 seconds perform EMAIL SEND DOWN
When condition continues for at least 600 seconds perform EMAIL SEND DOWN
When condition clears perform EMAIL SEND UP
