I work for a software company who provide Practice Management software into the medical industry.
The Software is server based and most practices are running Thin clients as terminals.
There are certain parts of the Software which need Word and Excel to run but these parts are around the management accounts side.
A lot of the quotes I am doing are uncompetitive due to the amount of Microsoft licencing I am having to include.
I have asked the Dev team if we can use Openoffice or Libre office to get around this but it seems there is no desire to go this way in the business.
Do any of you guys have experience using Applocker in this situation so we can make the need for an Office & Word licence redundant for every terminal?
Looking at this page below it seems like it should be possible but I need something concrete to go back to the Dev team with.
