Apply for New Style Jobseekers Allowance, or both that and Universal Credit?

Hi all, I am not sure whether my activities over the past 4 years affect what I should be applying to, but in case they do I will list them anyway.

(Until early 2020: student. Second half of 2020-mid-2021: working in England. The following 3 months working in Scotland, the latter half of which alongside full-time studies. I dropped out of these studies at the very end of 2022. 2023 has included a 7-month long holiday abroad.
Savings are less than £5000. I'm in Scotland staying with my mum.

I am clueless as to whether employment history makes a difference to which benefits you should apply to, but I thought I would include it anyway.)

I applied for New Style Jobseekers Allowance. Should I also apply to Universal Credit? Would Universal Credit be a smaller monthly amount than Jobseekers Allowance? (I understand Universal Credit supersedes other kinds of benefits if you apply to it. Could I end up with less money if I am granted the less generous Universal Credit instead of the more generous Jobseekers Allowance?)

I think you may struggle with UC as you have savings, there’s a calculator on the website though.
I used the calculator at benefits-calculator.turn2us.org.uk, and it said I could get around £85 per week (>£340/month). I believe I selected the option for £0-£5000 in savings.

The time required for the application is not significant for me. My worry is that UC could be less than what I'd get for new style jobseekers allowance and supersede the new style jobseekers allowance. Therefore I'm worried I could be risking a lower income by applying for Universal Credit (than I would otherwise get through New Style Jobseekers Allowance). Is this worry justified?

According to gov.uk/jobseekers-allowance, the weekly amount for new style JSA is also approximately £85. So it seems to make barely any difference. The one thing I'm not clear on now is whether this amount of new style JSA is always the same (approximately £85 for over-25-year olds) or whether it is contingent on your circumstances. Is it always £85 for over-25 year olds, or can it ever be more than that?
