Hi guys.

Finally got my server up and running with 8GB or RAM (10GB in total). Im only running one VM so far via Hyper V and i see i have the option to either apply Static or Dynamic RAM in the VM's settings.

I currently have it set to 1000mb but i want it to run as smooth as possible when using it to assist me with my studies. The VM itself is currently running Windows 7 Enterprise. Apart from that, the server wont be doing much else so distribution of the 10GB of RAM isnt something i need to keep an eye on.

Any help much appreciated as ever!!

Yea, I have it set at Static for now with 3gb of RAM seeing im only running the one VM but i'll have another look down the line. I just wasnt too sure on what one but i knew i wasnt going wrong in selecting Static.

The VM runs much smoother now. Once i up the RAM to 16GB i may even increase it another GB just for that little bit more but anymore and theres no point really.

Thanks for the reply!!
