Reading the Artic Silver guide on applying AS5 to a Quad core it suggest running a small line of it across the two cores... and thats it, simply allow that to expand a little
I don't get that at all. Why would that be better than applying a thin layer across the whole of the heat spreader which is what we have all done traditionally?
Smaller amount of paste can mean smaller contact area surely?
