Applying new components to an old pc

As the title states, I'm considering of applying new components to my 2009 made pc.

I'm thinking of buying a version of gtx 660, but then i'm wondering if i'd run properly?

In general, which components should I start getting first?

Planning to improve my gaming conditions. I don't know how to supply with full specs. My processor is "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8600 @ 3.33GHz, 3336 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)", Video card - "GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+" "4GB RAM, but 32bit system". My budget is 200gbp and I'm aiming to obtain the components from auctioneer websites.
