Applying Thermal Compound

Whats the best way to do it on a q6600

What i did is applied a certain amount and applied it thinly all across the chip till its all even and then put the heatsink on?

Ive got temps on idle at 27-30 degrees.
On prime its about 40-50 degrees.

Its clocked to 3ghz on an artic 7 pro

Is that ok? let me know

Depends on the Thermal compound, ie Arctic Silver have a recomendation on there web site.

Temps look fine.

Those temps seem fine. As long as you didnt put too much on then its fine.
