I've come to a decision that I only want my E6600 to be overclocked to exactly 3GHZ. From the signatures on here I gather this will be rather easy! But Am I better off just finding out what the FSB is for that overclock and entering that amount in the BIOS, or do you have to just keep increasing the FSB in small increments and testing frequently?

3Ghz will be simple for an e6600. It might even do it on stock volts. Go straight in at 375x8 and test stability.

Since the 6600 has a 9 multi I would go 333*9. It would require less volts on the chipset and some boards don't like memory at greater than 1:1 at high FSB
