Appropriate GFX for i7 Build?!

haha not whatsoever explicit! all the comments contradict, an pose a difficult choice :P

everyone is suggesting 4870x2 or 285 , but they have some big price tags on them and i doubt u need such power at moment specially for 24 " screen.

i would say go for 275 or 4890 more then enough and cheaper then 4870x2 and 285.

and actually 275 and 4890 if overclocked are equal or beats 285.

i would say go 275 as fan is really not loud even at 80%(people say ) so there is good overclocking potential.

on 4890 anything above 35% fan speed gets loud

Welcome to the world of OCuk forums :-)

You will tend to get a few different types of replies when asking about what to buy

Some examples
People say Product X because of some benchies they read
OR
People say Product Y because they own one
OR
People say Product Z because they have owned both X and Y and found Z better due to various actual usability reasons.

Best of luck deciding who to listen to.
 
You forgot to mention that no matter what you say, somebody will pipe up to state the exact opposite, or that for some reason theirs is the only opinion which is valid. This is fast becoming a terrible place to ask buying advice on gfx products.
 
there hasent been many *weekend only* deals or anything like that for GFX cards lately has there? there used to be quite a lot in the last few months!
 
I'm jealous!

That will be a nice setup that should last for some time. Unless you start listening to OCUK members and join in the number chasing :p
