Appropriate GFX for i7 Build?!

The one Question I forgot to ask

What games are you playing / planning on playing ?

These games are the ones I play most and are the ones I tried out the cards on.

IL2
Silent Hunter 3
Armed Assault
Company Of heroes
Lock On
Sins of a solar Empire
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
DCS: Blackshark

(Yes I know some are really olde - but it doesn't make them not fun :-)

Well the games i have lined up to play are mainly first person sh00ters like FEAR 2, have crysis, hawx, cod 4&5, silent assasin, wanted, basically the most recent games coming out, i also intend to play strat games, ive heard that certain strat games are designed to fully support quad core now which is kinda cool.

I think I bought my GTX295 when the prices were comparable to the 4870X2.

I havent tried the 4870X2 but I am sure it's more than capable of running at 1920x1200 on a 24" TFT like I am running with my GTX295.

If you got money to burn & an extra £70+ is nothing to you then get the GTX295, if I had the choice now I would opt for the 4870X2 due to price difference, it's as simple as that really.

Maybee............

Hopefully that will run all the latest games smoothly on my 24" for atleast the next 6-8 months, then ill upgrade the GFX? Hopefully that PSU is future proof to! Ah Choices choices

Actually guys i have a final decision, this article was an AMAZING read:

http://www.*****.net/content/item.php?item=17863&page=1 for some reason that site isnt liked? im not sure why its just a review site, but im sure you can guess which one!

It eventually gave the 275 Best rating, which im utterly happy with! im going for the 275 :D

I just hope the 275's come down as the 4890's did!
