On Saturday morning (11th march 2017) i noticed that my Samsung galaxy s7 edge was no longer working on WiFi to my btsmart hub.

I could browse the internet with seemingly no trouble on the browser through wifi. wifi was connected

However Facebook, Google plus, Instagram ...... Any app would not work through WiFi.

Thought it was my phone but after reinstalling everything on my phone it's clear it's the bt hub

I have no idea have to get things back to the way they were before saturday.

it's strange as i can contect to wifi, it's just apps aren't working. tried connecting to wifi at work, at friends, on the bus etc etc and everything works fine. just not on my bt at home

Please please please somebody explain my issue and help me fix it.

That's what I thought but the bt forums tantrum at me for bringing that up as i have no real evidence to suggest that.

Nobody will actually suggest a solution to it and instructions on how to fix it lol

Please..... Anyone lol

Already forgot the network on my phone. That didn't work

This is the main WiFi smart hub in my home.

I have no idea how to change channel. An actual guide would help in step by step order.

I'm no novice but i no nothing about internet connection jargon

Can you maybe try with a different access point connected to the BT hub? Or maybe just replace the router entirely.

Just to make sure, are parental filters disabled? Might need to check on My BT for this.

how do i connect to a different access point??????

my WIFI works perfectly everywhere with the phone apart fro at home where only google and samsung brower can run through wifi on my home hub.

parental filters already disabled

Just since you're trying everything (and I appreciate "nothing changed") but it might be worth disabling or changing either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz radios.

I know Macbooks have a nightmare trying to connect to BT Homehubs as both 2.4 and 5Ghz radios use the same SSID and it confuses the hell out of them and they don't connect.

already done both

Sorry, I meant buying a seperate access point (like these) which connects to the main router via cable and broadcasts its own signal, useful for extending the range of your wireless. Would let you know if its the wifi on the BT hub at fault or the actual BT connection. Alternatively, set a hotspot on Windows if you have a PC with a wireless adapter: https://www.howtogeek.com/214080/how-to-turn-your-windows-pc-into-a-wi-fi-hotspot/

the wifi signal is perfect. i'm not sure you understand. wifi is working

using APPS on my phone through wifi such as google play store, facebook etc etc etc not working
