Apps on Multiple iDevices

Is there any way to easily organised the apps on iDevices (e.g. 3 iPads) so that the icons all appear in the same place (on same pages, same order, or grouped in folders).

iTunes has decided itself to put them in the order it wants.

I don't want to have to do three iPads manually.

Take a backup of one and then restore the other 2 with the first backup?

This, though you will unfortunately loose all your game saves and whatnot.

Apple Configurator might be an option as well.

However, if you reorder them manually now, when you add new apps either through iTunes or on the App Store, the new apps will appear in exactly the same place. Either way, you're going to have to reorder new apps manually; you really might as well do it manually as a result.

I wonder...perhaps Apple Configurator will do the trick. I'll have a play with it.
