Hello,

I am trying to find an exact multiplier to convert the FOV of an APC-S sensor to that of a Micro Four Thirds sensor.

Is it 1.25 or 1.3?

More specifically I am trying to match precisely the amount of image of a Canon 70D (APS-C) to a Panasonic G7 (MFT).

If the Canon shot at 18mm FOV what should be the FOV of the Panasonic to capture exactly the same amount of information?

Much appreciated any help.

Never mind. From DPRevew answered:

"Just use the known crop factors for 35mm equivalence. So 18mm for Canon APS-C is equivalent to 28.8mm for Canon full frame equivalence (18mm multiply by 1.6 = 28.8mm). So Canon full frame 28.8mm is equivalent to MFT 14.4mm (28.8mm divided by 2 = 14.4mm)".
